The Streets Drowned in Neon

The man comes to City 0.
He works. He starves. He drinks. He gets into fights.
He befriends a just-out-of-prison human mercenary and his ogre gangster accomplice.
He almost gets robbed by a high school dropout with big dreams and worse odds.
He finds an equally unhinged elf girlfriend and narrowly avoids being killed by her overprotective hustler brother.
His life is a chain of random, sometimes violent encounters wedged between long, boring night shifts and cramped rooming houses in a city of high tech and low life.
But when there’s no hope left, there’s always one more drink, one more bar, and a long walk through the streets drowned in smog and neon.
