Senior Field Engineer Arlene Henri should have kept her thoughts about her boss to herself. Instead, she’s exiled to the backwoods town of Ternfield to lead a routine restoration on Water Pumping Facility 73, a claustrophobic underground labyrinth that hasn’t seen proper maintenance in years.
Used to fast-paced city life, Arlene struggles to adapt to the eerie silence, the surrounding wilderness, and a local crew of deeply eccentric engineers who operate on their own strange wavelength. She resolves to keep her head down, manage the workplace quirks, fix the pipes, and earn her ticket back to civilization.
But Water Pumping Facility 73 was never just a water plant.
When a routine mistake triggers an automated lockdown, sealing the team deep beneath the surface, the darkness comes alive. Trapped in the subterranean corridors of concrete and metal, Arlene and her crew quickly realize they aren’t alone, and whatever has just woken up in the lower levels is hunting them down one by one.
